Sick Livers Hobos 2016

On Saturday 12th March 2016 we return to Hobos Live Music Venue in Bridgend for a headline show. This is a rescheduled gig we were desperate to fulfil after a cancellation last November due to Ginge Knievil getting his medication right. The entry fee is FREE! Support comes from Trackstar/Pornstar (Pontypridd) and The MLC (Bridgend). Doors open at 8pm. Keep up-to-date via the Facebook event page HERE

Sick Livers & Professionals Cardiff

On Thursday 17th March 2016 we’re honoured to be supporting The Professionals at Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff. This line-up (Paul Cook, Ray McVeigh, Paul Myers, Tom Spencer) hit London’s 100 Club for a sold-out appearance last year and are now returning for a short UK tour. The Cardiff date is hosted by Death or Glory Promotions and ticket links can be found on their Facebook page HERE

The Sick Livers Pipeline 2016

Whoa! What a weekend that was! With Dai, our main flappy four stringer, recovering from his recent car crash, we entered London after a mere two hour rehearsal with the 11th hour stand-in that was Darrel Sutton from Trigger McPoopshute. Any trepidation was blown out of the water with the enthusiasm and accolades from the rabid crowd at The Pipeline following our hectic set. As always, we remain totally humbled for your love of five guys from Wales doing what they love.

Our warts and all set is online for your aural (dis)pleasure via The Paranoid Squirrel Rock Show, where host Armitage advises.. “Frontman Ginge is undoubtedly one of the greatest R’n’R frontmen out there at the moment and can be relied upon to pulverise The Sick Livers’ pendulous Piñata of splendidly catchy Rock n Roll into several smithereens.” Listen back HERE.

Deathtime Assembly 2016

London is on! For those who aren’t in the know, our four stringed maestro Mr. Dai Bauchery was involved in a car accident recently. For a split second we had to announce that we wouldn’t be able to make our appearance. Cancelling shows is not a decision we take lightly and the seriousness of Dai’s accident threw us somewhat. Little did we know that Darrel Sutton of Trigger McPoopshute fame (pictured in all his glory below) would be in London for the ‘DeathTime ASSembly’ event, and furthermore agreed to stand-in, with Dai’s consent. So, after an overwhelming response that people wanted a show by The Sick Livers in London – we’re pulling out all the stops to give you one! We’d also like to thank everyone for their messages of support for Dai. We’re been very touched!

The Sick Livers in Classic Rock Magazine

Cheers to Sleazegrinder for the review and column inches in the latest edition of Classic Rock magazine. You can pick up a copy at all good newsagents, and some shit ones too.

Full review:

“A bunch of over-the-hill creeps from South Wales stinking of desperation and jaundice launching an all-out assault on goodness and decency with a fistful of rock ‘n’ roll; a bellyful of roiling poison and a collection of late-70s punk and hard rock records, all warped, cranked and sticky with beer and puke.

The Sick Livers are all about maximum impact, so every song is searing, Angus Young-alike guitar solos, every chorus a massive scream-along filled with Misfits-y ‘whoa-ohs’, every lyric a chest beating boast about their sexual potency or their intimate friendships with the devil and his hard-partying cronies.

Their closest cousins in rock are probably Turbonegro, although with those dudes, you’re never quite sure if it’s all a gag, a make-up smeared hoodwink, a grand illusion. With The Sick Livers, there’s no question: this is their fucked-up, merciless, pitiless, gonna-kill-them-all-soon lifestyle.

If you can imagine Guns N’ Roses as skid row tramps, then you already know what’s up.”
